Australia lagging behind in solar uptake Share on Facebook
Positive action in Germany has seen the industry boom with more than 30,000 jobs. Empty roofs are being leased from owners for new solar systems to be installed. Last year Germany installed over 700 MW of solar power while Australia installed 8 MW.

This is despite Australia having at least twice as much sunlight per year in Australia. The German solar experience shows that with the right policy incentives greenhouse action can create jobs and investment and reduce pollution.
